Description: Instituted in the sixteenth century. In 1989 requirements for ideological studies and military and practical training were removed. The first two to three years are devoted to general studies with specialization and thesis preparation taking up the remainder. Usual admission requirements are the maturity certificate (12 years of education) and an entrance examination.
