Description: Initially known as Hanoi National University; established in 1993 by combining the following schools: Hanoi National Pedagogic University, Hanoi University for Teachers of Foreign Languages, Hanoi University. Consists of five colleges to date: Foreign Language, General Education, Natural Science, Social Science, Teacher Training. More colleges will be added. The usual admission requirements are an entrance examination (Ky Thi Tuyen Vao Dai Hoc) following the upper secondary school leaving examination (Ky Thi Tot Nghiep Pho Thong Trung Hoc) (12 years of education).
